Just do it, its annoying, but you will save alot of hassle in the long run.

This client side piece is even more frustrating, so I’m going to assume in everyone’s case you have to install the receiver again. The next version of ThinKiosk will ship with an executable called iexplore.exe by default. To work around this issue, rename thinkiosk.exe to iexplore.exe. There is a custom permission, or something hardcoded in the receiver to disallow this.
NOTE: Before you start, ThinKiosk cannot pass the users credentials from the local machine to the session by default. (I should point out, I’m not sure why these options don’t work, don’t shoot the messenger).ġ3: And that should be that, this concludes the server side work. This was tested on the following server:ġ: Prior to installing the web interface (or testing pass through), ensure IIS is installed with the following feature:Ģ: Now that you are sure it’s installed, fire up the web interface management console and browse to the web interface you wish to configure for pass through.ģ: Right click this website and choose Authentication Methods:Ĥ: Once this is open, ensure Pass-through is checked, then click Properties:ĥ: Click the Automatic Logon tab & configure the settings as below:Ħ: Now click the Kerberos Authentication tab, and ensure Kerberos is unchecked:Ĩ: Move now to Internet Information Services Manager (start > run > inetmgr)ĩ: Browse down in this console to sites > Default web site > Citrix > XenApp (or whatever you called your site) then click the Authentication button:Ī: Windows Authentication is present (if it isn’t go back to the start of this page and read slower.)ī: Windows Authentication is enabled (if it isn’t, just right click and enable it):ġ1: Once you are Happy both A: and B: are correct, right click Windows Authentication and choose Advanced Settings:ġ2: On the advanced page, ensure Extended Protection is Off and Kernel-Mode is also turned off. > Citrix have finally documented this end to end here:
So I’ve put together the below guide for ease when using ThinKiosk. This is quite difficult, badly documented and frustrating.
#Citrix lotus notes client Patch
To resolve the problem, you may run the following registry patch that will add the necessary Windows Registry keys back to the Windows Registry:Īlternatively, you may uninstall Internet Explorer 10 by going to the Control Panel, selecting “Uninstall a Program” (if using the category view) or “Programs and Features” (if using the icon view), selecting “View installed Updates”, then selecting Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 and clicking uninstall. This results in the following error message:įollowed by dozens of blank Internet Explorer 10 windows. It appears that after installing Internet Explorer 10 on a Windows 7 computer that had Lotus Notes or another mail client already installed, Internet Explorer 10 removes some registry entries that control what happens when a mailto: link is clicked. Why do I get “Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed” error message followed by dozens of blank Internet Explorer windows when I click on a mailto: link or a link in the Pure Message quarantined message digest?
